The thought of feeling alone…

Many of us have felt the moment in which we feel helpless, or alone in come instances.

This thought can consume you and transform your reality into something that it is not. There are moments when we can feel as if no one actually cares or even want to help us.

The darkness clouds our judgment and does not help us think clearly. We have a distorted view of reality. Something so far fetched from the truth at times.

It is important to take a step back and think outside of what the current situation is. It’s so easy to point out and obsess with all the negative we forget all the blessings in our lives.

Being alive is one of the many blessings that we take for granted without realizing how quickly that all can change.

Circumstances in which we might feel like it is the end of the world but fail to realize that tomorrow is a new day. That there are others whose situation is way worse yet they find the power, strength, and happiness to go on with their lives.

We can not tell the future, because if we could we would not stress about the troubles of today knowing that the future is brighter and we will get every obstacle and hurdle thrown our. It would definitely help calm our nerves.

When dealing with troubling times all I try to focus on the fact that I have overcame every trial and tribulations thus far and will continue to do so.

Don’t sweat the small stuff, and although it is cliche once you change your mental state into a positive direction everything else around you also does. The saying of negativity draws negativity is absolutely true.

This all goes without saying that it is not always easy to overcome this darkness and if profesional help is needed than surely obtain it. Seeing a psychologist or a psychiatrist does not make you abnormal or crazy in the least. I am of the belief that everyone should go to a psychologist or psychiatrist.

This all to say, you are not alone. There are millions that feel the same way but are too afraid to speak up. You are loved and cared for, and don’t let your mind tell you otherwise.

  1. Great post here Yuritza. I think you have spoken well. It is important to try to be in a good mindspace at all times, and as you have said, professional help is also a great option. However, another great person to talk to is God. God is our creator, and he has not abandoned us, infact, he is always with us. God is ready to hear us and to help us, however, we need to reach out to him by prayer. God is good and he is good all the time. No need to feel alone, God is always with us.

    God says in Isaiah 41:10
    “So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
    I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.

    If you want more information on how to connect with God, I have a post on it here:
